OK, it is that time of year again, you can almost smell it in the air; and I think you know what smell I am talking about.
Yes, it is time for the St. Jude Parish Fair!
With that being said, we are being asked to step up and help out where ever we can. Below are the contacts to specific areas that need help:
Construction of the Booths & Garbage collection for Friday night
Construction starts Friday, April 4th around 8:30 in the morning. We should be done by 12:00 or 1:00 pm. Please consider even if you can offer a few hours.

And in case you cannot commit to anything specific, when you do show up, just ask Moe, Larry and/or Curly (Jimmy Berrigan, Billy Francioni, Mike Francioni) what help is need where and they will be glad to point you in the proper direction.
By the way, all of the slots for the beer booth and coke booth are already filled!

If you missed last night’s meeting, you missed a great one. The crawfish & beverages were very good and plentiful. The fellowship was great, and Verge Ausberry was outstanding. He provided us with an insight into the inner workings and complexity of the LSU Athletics Department that a lot of us were not aware of; he was also very candid about a certain QB with “issues” and the hiring process for a new basketball coach.
A couple of announcements:
1. Look for signup sheets coming out soon for volunteering with the upcoming St. Jude Fair:
-Work crews to setup the booths on Friday and take down on Sunday
-Garbage detail
-Coke booth
-Fry booth
-Moe, Larry and Curly (Jimmy, Billy & Mike) will be needing a lot of help from us, so stand by
2. Our 1st grant will more than likely be approved within the next week
3. We are going to try to put together a “New Dads” orientation to help the new guys assimilate into the St. Jude School and also recruit them into the SJMC, any thoughts and/or ideas are appreciated, especially if you would like to be directly involved with the program, let me know
4. The Student of the Month program is still going very strong
5. Remember the SJMC is an all inclusive organization; you do not have to be a dad to join and/or get involved, just a parishioner at least 18 years of age, so pass the word to your friends who may not have joined yet and help them get involved with us
Thanks again to the members of the board who work so hard to put on the meetings, set up tables and chairs, arrange for and serve the food and beverages and stick around to make sure it is all cleaned up afterwards.
